Opera messes with my buttons

OK, here's one that's making me crazy.

I have a beautifully styled form, all done in CSS and passes WAI-AAA. However, Opera wants to change the style of the form buttons to something that completely destroys the look of the form and even the color clashes and is next to impossible to read.

Is there some way of preventing Opera browser from overriding your CSS file and changing the style class on form input buttons?

Can you post a link to the form on the internet so we can view the XHTML/CSS coding?

Yeah, go to http://www.websavvy.cc/add.php
Then click on any category from the left side menu. Once a category add url page loads the form will be on the right side.

The XHTML is valid, and so is the CSS and it passes WAI-AAA.
It's table-less XHTML 1.1

The form button looks exactly the same in IE6 and Opera 9?

It is the form button which has "sign in" on it isn't it?

I use Opera 9 also, and this is what I see (and it's not supposed to look like this -- screen cap below)

It's supposed to look like the second one, not the first one.

WebSavvy, are you sure you don't have a user defined stylesheet applied ?

If I remember well, there is an option for that, and maybe that's the source of your problems.
Or maybe it's a theme who mess with your css ?

Those a purely ideas, as I don't have opera...

hmm, that could be. I just installed Opera 9 and a new theme for it. You mean you guys all see the buttons the same way in Opera as it appears in IE & FF?

I really don't like Opera much but had to install it to cross check the CSS and page display to make sure it rendered the same in all browsers.

It looks the way I wanted it to and expected it to, with the exception of the form buttons.

OK, sheesh. I just found the problem. Opera doesn't enable the "styling of forms" and you have to enable that in the preferences. I didn't know this as I'm new to using it. Now I see things like they're supposed to be. Thanks!

Well, that's a bit strange behaviour, I think.
But I'm glad you found where the problem was.
