I was hoping to change the border colour used in the menu from #ffffff to something darker, maybe #404040.
The trouble is, I don`t want the border changing throughout. I`m happy to keep a white border in the main menu nav bar. I just need the dark border in the drop down boxes. The page I`ll be using this on is a white background and the background for the menu will be light(ish).
The way he has the css written up, changing the border colour would change it throughout the menu which I don`t want.
I worked with this drop down and I can say that every aspect of it is editable. I completely modified it successfully and the border can be changed without changing the whole things. I wish I could tell you what part it is, but I cant remember which part of the code that was. Know that you cwan though
Yeah, I`ve added borders but I`m stuck because of the border top and bottom issue on the drop down boxes. Obviously it needs both so that the border is complete around the drop down boxes, but then in between those borders will double up.
You can push IE to hover on other things besides the <a> tag w/o resorting to javascript, although it does require some scripting in the form of an .htc file called in the CSS. The method is called whatever:hover and it works like a charm. http://www.xs4all.nl/~peterned/csshover.html
