How do I lay a site out to look like a HTML table layout?

I want to get the 3 colum table look but without using HTML obviously, do I use div tags to make each colum or is that not possible?

Well you have to use SOME HTML of course, e.g the div tags, but if you want to use CSS for the layout (which I would definitely advise ), then I would put them in a wrapper div (one to contain all the other divs) and then put three more divs inside that one. Give them percentage values for the width and 100% height and you'll have a three column layout!
