I'm working on a new site and I can't validate the CSS...i've never seen this issue before. It happens only on this site that i'm working on. Every time I click on Tools > Validate CSS (FF Web Developer toolbar), i get this error:

Servlet has thrown exception:javax.servlet.ServletException: Timed out

And if you do validate the CSS, can someone please tell me if there are any errors? I was able to validate it last night and found only one error (which was fixed), but now i can't do squat.

Another issue i'm having with this particular site is it's completely screwed up in Safari....and only Safari! It works PERFECT in FF, IE6, IE 7, and Opera...not Safari....

Looks like the validator is down, they updated the markup one the other day so there is a chance they are doing the same here.

Welcome to the wonderful world of CSS. Nothing much you can do except go through your CSS piece by piece to see where the problem may lie.

I Check the html coding on the HTML Validator it is valid you will have the approval code there and I checked the css also it is having only one error to fix.....

Then the page is valid according to the w3c standards !!!

I don't think it is down. It only does it on THAT page. I am able to validate my personal site, the main ny-trex.com page (which, i beg you not to look at...i promise, that is not the work of me..hence, the re design)

Can you please let me know what the error is? like i said...i can't validate it..but if someone else can, please let me know what the error is so i can fix it. who knows...maybe this one little error is causing all the hiccups.

edit: nevermind seowebdesigner...i figured out that i could just upload the css file, and I found the error on line 198...and fixed it. It's valid now! so is the XHTML....Now I need someone on a Mac to test it out in Safari and tell me how it looks.

There we go, got it working.

Yep that was it. and now the CSS validator works. Maybe it was that little bit of text that was causing the CSS validator to time out?...who knows...

Latest CSS was uploaded...now I just need confirmation from a Safari user that all is well
