Hi all - hope everyone has enjoyed their summer.

I'm having a weird issue in Firefox. The layout works in IE6 exactly the way I want it to.

Here, the center column of text is fine in IE, but is below the side navigation in Firefox... any thoughts? TIA!

You need to adjust the widths for the content and sidebars so that they do not overlap. If the overlap, firefox pushes divisions on the right down since it thinks there is no space to place the element.

Try this.
Code:
* {
    -moz-box-sizing: border-box;
}
Otherwise, use two different stylesheet for IE and F/Fox.

Hope this helps.

There is no need to go to the extreme of using different style sheets for what is a minor problem involving widths and margin sizes that can be easily fixed.

Thanks for this reply. I'm not sure why they are overlapping though. The "content" element and the "container" elements do not have a total width, so it should, in my way of thinking (which is obviously wrong) just line up next to it...

You should set widths, normally this is done in percentages, this ensures everything fits into the space provided.

It isn't necessary to set widths ONLY in percentages.

The "problem" in FF is you have not cleared your floats, and this is something you must do.
