Domain Grabber Services?

There's a domain that I want, and it's expiring soon, and I feel it's worth getting a domain grabber service. The only company I can remember who does this is snapnames.com, and I can't seem to find any of the others on Google.

Does anyone know which companies have domain grabber services like snapnames.com? Have you had experience with any of them? Prices?

Okay, I wasn't finding anything because I was calling the service the wrong thing. It is more commonly known as domain backordering, and the two most popular are SnapNames and Pool.com. Godaddy also has their own system for backordering. I think I will try with both SnapNames and Pool, and see how it works out. Still, if anyone has any experience in this, feel free to share.

Enom has an API you can use to buy domains names and you might want to check out PremiumDrops.com too. They use the ENOM API and attempt to register dropped names for you the moment they become available. Understand though that there are people and companies ( ah hem, GoDaddy from what I have heard ) that ALSO buy expiring domain names by the thousand and "taste" them. So, if the name you are looking to catch is established, been around and is included in indexes like Google and is catchy, you will probably have a pretty hard time catching it. Either way, if the name immediately gets bought up once it expires, keep your eyes on it for the next few days because it may have been bought by a taster in which case it will become available again for you.

I've already had an experience with domain tasters. I decided to let the domain expire without trying to backorder it, and it was tasted 3 times for 5 days each (by different companies according to the whois) before I was able to register it. The difference between that .com domain name and this one is that the first one didn't have any of other TLDs registered, and this one has nearly all of them registered.

i have experience about catch a deleted domain.if you want it badly go for pool.com and snapnames.com the one of these 2 will catch the domain in most cases godaddy is not good for backordering. Now when the pool or snap catch the domain you want in you are the only one who backorer it you take it for 60$(you dont pay in advance)if other people have backorder the sam domain you for auction and the high better takes the domain.the auction is last 3-5 days i think..

I found an excellent blog post on this subject. Actually, I had read it a long time ago, but I had forgotten what it said and I'm glad I found it again.

I'm slightly puzzled: is there any difference between domain backordering and domain snapping?
