guys i am going to buy a .com/.net/.org so i need ur help to decide a name which is short, meaningful and related to softwares/technologies/pcs/etc. the current site name is Softech India (www not done; exams) so how is www.softechindia.org ? .net and .com is not there for this name so plz suggest a good name

If its for a company I would suggest your purchase a .com domain.

I normally associate .org domains with charities and non-profit organisations.

well, it is not a company; simply a group of about 10 people; non-profit organisation. Also .com for this name is not available. The rates are same for all three. So a nice name would make me happy.
