I've been trying to find a registrar that accepts money order but only one that does is a reseller. the fee seems to be pretty good but can someone tell me why I shouldn't go with a reseller? btw, I've never registered before so any advice on what to look for in their service?

This really depends on who the reseller is. Look around the net for reviews.
I've been happily using NameCheap for a few years and they're a reseller.

Who is it? Maybe someone here can give you some insight.

Then look for bad reviews. Looking at the number of bad reviews will give you
a good indication of their service.

Dissatisfied people will definitely voice their opinion, more than satisfied people.

Registering a domain with an reseller is not an problem and issue as per my experience Thats right you will need to check out perfectly with the help of search engines and local friends before ordering the domain.
Check for the reputation of the company too.

You may reg a domain with one company and then host it with the other. It's wise.

resellers, its all about character, listen to the others in the forumn and ask around, what reseller, maybe some of us can give you some feedback if we've heard anything
