What are the pros and cons of having an e-commerce domain that is either a;

• .com domain

or

• .co.uk domain

It depends who your targeting, both can be just as effective but i prefer .com

Where will your client be from?

In comparison with .com and .co.uk it make somewhat difference as the .co.uk is more focused to UK and could get good search results in UK search.

For me, An Australian,

When I am looking to buy something, I want to know what is local to Australia, and would therefore always prefer the .com.au

However, when I am looking for certain types of information, I would like to widen my scope by doing the .com.

This is valid to, Google, Ebay, and etc. Such as Google.com.au V google.com AND ebay.com.au V ebay.com

.com is the most valuable top level domain and applies to all countries.

If your site is targeted to people from the united kingdom only, then choose the .co.uk
