Blu-RayOutlet.com ... hold or sell?

I grabbed the subject domain last year and set up an affiliate store therein...but since I'm not really heavily promoting it, it's not doing much. Since Toshiba's dropping the HD format and Blu-Ray is now king, it got me to thinking my domain might really be worth something now. According to 4domains.com it's worth a little over $1K, but I'd like to think much more!

Any opinions?

Thanks for any advice!

Sorry, but i don't think its worth much the hyphen in the name really kills its value.

I guess I see where you're coming from, but...the hypen is in the product's name... (they're "blu-ray" discs, not "bluray" discs) for example, the Blu-Ray Disc Association's official website is at http://www.blu-raydisc.com

Ok, then i stand corrected, i really didn't knew the hyphen was part of the official product name. I hope you'd excuse my ignorance.

Hey, no problem! And I really am just trying to make a decision here...I have one PR4 site that got there by hard work and catering to a specific interest group, and I'm just trying to figure out whether or not I should try growing this domain into something worthwhile on my own, or just sell it...

Regards,
James

Well if an estimate of $1k has been offered or mentioned thats not a bad days work really if you sell it for around that price. If someone was going to buy it off you, certainly sounds as though it would be someone in america due to the use of 'outlet' in the name. But a company may be interested yet so see how things go, blu-ray has only just won really - give it some time

I'd say sit on it. I get annoyed every time I see people with huge lists of completely crappy domains they're trying to sell, but that's actually a really nice domain name. It wouldn't hurt if you started to drive traffic to it though. Throw up a couple of simple articles about blu-ray as a blog, and try and get a little bit of traffic going to it. They can only help the domains value if there is already some traffic going to it.
