Yeah, and .tk just redirects. There is never a whatever.tk/whatever, its always the same URL. If the URL was dtr.tk for the mainpage and you clicked on there forum link, it would still be dtr.tk, not dtr.tk/ whatever or forum.dtr.tk.

but .tk is free domain and new webmaster how cant purcahse domain can get free domain.

i hated .tk so badly. i used to use it, and it just kept on ruining my site every time i used it cause it did something weird with it. plus .tk isnt .com

.tk used to be half decent until they threw in te pop ups, and now the entrance page, dont see what the point of it is? apart from the fact they are going to lose customers.

It's possible to remove ads on a free .tk domain. You just need to unselect it in the options. There is no ads on mine www.indianink.tk

.tk is not the best. .cjb.net is better than .tk. .cjb.net puts no ads on

check out 'smartdots.com' ppl, no forced ads...nothing and they got plenty of domains you can pik from so check it out

Erm...the reason why the address will remain *.tk is because: they use frames...so, you must add a target="_top" to your <a>...like:

A web site

Keep in mind that target="*" is NOT available in HTML 4.01 Strict, XHTML 1.0 Strict & XHTML 1.1

its alright for those forums with big link who are hosted by other forums such as invisionfree and whatnot....but other than that, do not ever use .tk

With the prices of domains and hosting now, people may aswell not bother with these extensions.

Then again, i guess alot of people who use these are young'uns who dont have funds to buy domains etc....

while i don't like tk...i think i'll but it because it's on many search engines & directories.

it's not redirecting. have you ever seen the source? it uses frames...that means: <frameset> & <frame> tags...it's better than redirecting, as it masks really long urls like: http://www.server3.host.com/sites/ht...tml/index.html
