This is a ongoing topic everywhere, so let's flare it up here. Cheapest places to register your domain names.

I would have to say Go Daddy is definitely the cheapest, Enom coming in second.

Any others?

They are, but there are others that offer good deals, so I'm just trying to start something on this, so everyone knows the hot deals on the net for registering domain names, etc.

Go Daddy offers horrible hosting. I have noticed that by talking to other people about it, and once I actually used it. They were down more then they were up!

(Sorry for changing the subject, but I just had to throw this out)

I have heard of Net Firms before. They are alright, but for there price you have to think there are a couple catches. As I said before there was the no transfer for a couple months problem with one of the registrars I used, so watch out for these low prices ones. I am sure there are legit ones, but still watch out.

Heh, a lot of people have said that.
Personally, I'd have to go with registerfly.com

I think godaddy is the best because generally everyone uses it and I think they have good customer server, never really delt with them with any problems. The price is higher then those so called cheap places but I think everything evens out and there are pros and cons for both of them and godaddy evens out better and thats why I think its superior that other places and those "so called cheap places".

Hmm well They seem to be reasonably priced and for me have been very reliable - I cant really complain. I do think they are not very user friendly though so for someone new to registering domains/buying hosting they are not an ideal start.

Oh then maybe they have improved. I am not busting them at all, I like Go Daddy a lot, but I had a few problems with them, and know of a few people that have too. Maybe they have improved there system and made it better for other people using there hosting.

I've also heard of their bad hosting. I personally use namecheap.com, they have good customer service and are fairly cheap. $8.88=.com

Go Daddy has had a history of bad hosting. That is the news around the Net. They have great domain registration, with great benefits. I haven't used Go Daddy's hosting in a while, so they must have improved. They were due too anyway.
