I'm sure most domainers take part from professional appraisers. They mainly want to get a professional opinion so they can sell there domain easier.

Is this always a good idea though? I was actually looking into the amount of domains that were professionally appraised, and while some sold, a lot of them just stayed where they were, or received lower offers.

What are your thoughts on professional appraising? Do you think appraisals from Domain Forums are better than ones you have to pay for?

I think professional ones are great. They do give your domain name value, and it helps others choose from what they are given.

I think a forum is the best place to discuss apprailses. Professional ones are a waste of money in my openion and domain forums usaly have plently of them for free. Thats just my thoughts.

I agree. What is the point in spending time and money for one opinion when you can get several for free!

I don't "believe" appraisals indeed, I prefer to believe the buyer price Apparaisals are only general idea, but can't give the real and final value you'll send your name.

I personally don't trust any domain appraisal services, the most accurate appraisal comes from parties interested in purchasing your domain.

I 110% agree with Offtopic

I believe there is no such thing as professional appraisers mainly because you never know how much a domain should go for. There has been many instinces when "professional appraisers" were way off.
