Sometimes it is. But I have heard that if you include the companies whole name it may cause you trouble.

Hope that helps,
Michael

The reason why I ask is because I know about one adress that alot of people from my country (Sweden) spells wrong.

I believe it would be legal.

For example, ebay would tm the word 'ebay' but evay, enay, ebsy doesnt have the word 'ebay' in them, so they cant do anything to you, but then if its like ebaysore (meant to be ebaystore) then it would be illegal, sence ebay is in the domain.

I just been discussing this topic with some others actually.. we dident find anything about beeing leagal or ilegal.

But one thing I think, if you buy a "misspelling" domain like example; evay.
And if ebay hears about it and you only got ads, banners and not any specefic content on the site they might try "get you" <-- dunno how and why.. its just a thought around the topic.

but if evay stands for something, means something special for you.. and you have a site with real stuff on it.. they might not care..

get my point ?

Ok!
I got the point.
And I don´t think I will buy it. I don´t realy wanna get into any trouble. Even if the chances are small.
(But, I can´t stop thinking about the possibilitys that traffic could do for me as an affiliate.)
Anyway, thank´s again for the advice!
