Well a common question what we always have in our mind.

I came across a guys with 8 yrs of experience having a domain which he called it to be very good but was not able to sell that. Strange isn't it ?

A good domain name depends on what type of site you are planning to run. A domain name that is excellent for one site may not be worth anything to someone else. I like to think of a domain as the "brand." Although it is important, it is nothing until you develop it.

- short
- memorable
- hard to misspell
- related to your industry
- ...

A good domain name is that which suits your business needs and is easy to be remembered by others.It should be relevant with your business.

Small/Large name + Memorable name + Meaningful name + Relevant = Good domain name

no spaces- no numbers- not to long

something memorable that you can brand with

generic and lasting. by lasting, i mean not just a buzzword of the week (though if they make enough to cover the cost of registration, why not?)
