Today I was offered the .org of one of my sites for a nominal amount. Should i buy it?

The seller claims it gets 30-40 type-ins per month.

Does it really get me anything to own the .org of my .com?

If it was a .com perhaps. I own many co.uk domains because I run a lots of British focuessed sites, and whilst I don't really need the domains, I sometimes get an email from the guys who own the .coms saying theat they think tey are getting some of the traffic that is intended for my sites, and would I like to buy it.

Maybe in the future if Iplan to expand outside of the uk, but for now it isn't something I want to spend $xxxx on.

But if they are offereing it at a cheap price, I see no reason not too, but don't get carried away and buy up the .com.au, .fr, .net, .info, .mobi etc

If you think the type-in traffic will pay for itself. If the .org doesn't have links to it, then the only reason I can see for owning it is to keep other people from getting it and parking it.

I agree, unless you want to own it just so that somebody doesn't take it then grab it, but I doubt there will be a traffic increase with you having it.
