I am just about to purchase a .com domain that still has a couple of years on it.

I would rather have it transferred to the registrar that I use, but will I then lose those two years or are they transferred with it?

Cheers
Jill

Usually when you transfer registrars, they make you pay for an additional year and they tack that onto the back of whenever it's already set to expire. So you keep the two years.

You usually have to wait 60 days after a domain puchase to move it to a different registrar.

Sorry, perhaps I didn't explain myself correctly. I purchased an existing domain from somebody (not new) that had 2 years still to go on it.

It is now being processed for me.

Well, it doesn't really matter where, does it.
