Hello fellow forum friends.

We have a few thousand names and each week we receive offers to sell our names but the names are listed on a web site of ours that says these names are not for sale and why.

Now we have received our first offer to lease out a couple of names?
What do you think about leasing names?

Leasing domains is an excellent idea! I think it just might be hard to find customers - unless the domain was a premium domain (When i say premium I mean one word, less than 4 letters, etc..)

Ok do you see anything wrong with them renting a couple of our names? Anything that can go bad?

I think that is not good idea. Name is taken to develop and no one will do that for you because in case of invcreasing value of the domain name you will increase rental fee for sure.

Terrible idea. The person leasing your domain can easily blacklist you from Google, Yahoo, MSN and the like. Let's not forget to mention AdSense! If that domain is listed for invalided clicks and you (after the 'lease') place your AdSense code -- guess what? You'll be removed from AdSense. Not worth it.

I will consider leasing your domains if they have traffic. PM me with traffic details and the domains.

Bad idea, because domain name may be blacklisted. It would be better just to sell the domain.

You should sell them not rent them.

On paper it might sound like a good idea but it will only cause you trouble. Getting yourself blacklisted all over won't be fun.

Interesting concept...I would totally lease a name if it got me good traffic.
