There are plenty of them and sometimes they give you better price then domain name registrars, so why should people avoid them?

@ OP, for a domain registration service I'd advise you to choose Sibername.com. As I know this company is ICANN, CIRA and Eurid- accredited and that means much while domain registration. Can you say the same about godaddy.ca, netfirms.ca?
