Hey guys, need help.

I am planning to create a career specific blog. I wonder what's the best name for my blog? Any suggestions? Thanks.

I'm lousy at this stuff without my desk tools. Why not plug the word "careers" into the thesaurus, get a starting list of options - then pop over to wordtracker and see what popular search terms come up for any of the ones you like and see if a combination is available? This gives you some marketability, seo advantages and a bit of branding too.

Just a thought.

The blog must have a name. Have you checked if that prefix available for different domain name extensions?

"thecareersblog.com" is open to register. What do you think of that?

I hate domains with "the". For me it's not good.

Why? They are commonly used for the domain name registration. Anyway that saves the idea of the blog.

I suggest you that first you have to know which keyword will be the main one for the career site and the home page at the same time...then try to buy a .com domain that is exactly the keyword chosen...if you don't have good luck, try with .net y other extensions...if there is not available try to add an additional word at the end of the main keyword and try again (this additional word should be another keyword preferable)

you want to create a blog but you don't know the name ! )
how about mycareerblog .. . was easy ?

Why don't you try to use free services like Wordtracker or Google Keyword Tool to get some ideas or slightly different phrases... for sure you can get more ideas and at the same time you will see how much that particular phrase is searched for...
