When choosing a domain name it is important to take in consideration search engines.

Having a name with "-" seems to be less attractive to search engines (particularly Google) then having only wordword.com name. But nobody can be completely sure, Google hides exact details of the ranking algorithm.

In google not, but some of our country local search engines see the domain with "-" like two words.

Domain name is for the visitors first of all and they should remember it if you would like them to return. That is very important.

Having a meaningful domain name is very important, both to search engines and to end users.

The Big Three (G, MSN, and Yahoo) all put some priority on a domain that is keyword rich (how much is the question!)

To the end user, who may have bookmarked your site, a relevant, keyword rich domain will ensure that they'll remember exactly why they did.

And you know this to be a fact because?

No they won't! Because what you see for a "bookmark" is the page title!

Definitely! Which makes using "-" practically useless!

Adding "-" to your name dont make them any different than runon words.

But if your going for the keyword of: web hosting, then www.webhostingwhatever.com would be best. Google prefers to see domains with the keyword in the domain name...however, with enough back links, and seo, its not required.

It doest not pay any attention to it unless you use "AAINURL" operator for your search

The - isn't important. Actually it is better not to have -'s so that your visitors want forget your domain.
