There is an inactive domain I am interested in purchasing, but am not sure how much it is worth. Does anyone have any advice on how evaluate the value of a domain? I looked at one of those offer services that measures word relevance, domain name length, traffic ranking etc. But they came up with some ungodly amount.

Any help would be appreciated,

I have a website which provides information like this its called DNS Scoop.

This website shows information like alexa rank, websites that link to it, domain name worth, how long it's been registered etc.

$90 AD owns that site j/k

Those tools tend to inflate amounts. Think is it brandable? If it has any kind of value and its going for reg price than its probably worth it since $10 is cheap investment.

the domain is worth what YOU can make from it! There is no other consideration.

I always find useful domain names if I search hard enough for unregistered ones which are at the standard bottom price - a few quid for a .co.uk, a few more for a .com

Why mess around with expense? Buy some fresh clean unspoiled domain with a few dollars and make it worth something yourself?

I suppose that it is up to the certain person. One is ready to pay registration fee and another one can pay thousand dollars for the domain name.

Yea, I must say I agree that it is only worth the registration fee and what someone will pay for it.
