Hi,

I have a .com domain registered with xreg.co.uk for about 3 years now. In the past, I used worldpay to transfer funds into my xreg account via credit card and this worked fine.

However, recently the site says "Worldpay is currently under going maintenance" fair enough so I used the paypal option and transferred money over to my account.

Now the problem is that when trying to renew my domain, xreg gives the error
"Processing Error: Purchase price is greater than available balance" which is untrue because xreg my account tells me I have sufficient funds available!

Naturally all my emails have gone unanswered. Where do I go from here ? Any ideas ? I'm getting worried as the domain in question is my business domain and it expires in 7 days.

There's no contact number on their website though.. Just did a whois and "TUCOWS" is the Registrar.... May be you can try contacting them and should be providing you with a solution...

Please check http://opensrs.com/contact/ for their contact details...

That's xreg.com. The xreg.co.uk registrant is Coveria Limited.
Surely someone here has had dealings with this company in the past??

Hi,

Cheers for the help so far fellas.

I've done everything to contact xreg apart from physically going to their offices, which I imagine to probably be some sort of PO BOX rather than offices.

As I only have 6 days left on my domain, I was thinking about transferring it to godaddy. They will do it for under £5 with one years free reg. Would this work? Do I need to obtain a code from xreg?

Thanks.

Here's my problem,

I have 2 domains registered with Xreg, one of them ended a couple of years ago and the other one ends in April this year.

I deposited money into my Xreg account when trying to renew my .net domain, xreg quite nicely accepted the money, but my domain did not get re-registered, I couldn't get hold of anybody so I lost the domain name.

I now find my old domain, that xreg had the money for but didn't re-register on sale on Godaddy for £724. I would call that illegal.

I wonder if Coveria (xreg's tag owners) are selling our old domains to make even more money, from those people desparate to hang onto their domain names.

My other domain is coming up for renewal and it looks like I will loose that one aswell, unless I can get nominet to release it to another registrar.

Wish me luck, I post any updates on here.

I believe that all what you need to do for now is get in touch with them and ask for the help. If they are interested in having you as a customer you will have the help
