I'm looking to sell the domain http://supersmashbc.com. It has a PR of 2 and an alexa rating of 600,000. Can I get anything out of this and if so what would be the best method of doing so.

Note: the domain is just pointing to another site of mine because I have nothing else to do with it. I'm not selling the site.

you could try listing in the marketplace at webmaster-talk and places like sedo.com

Search google for "domain brokers". Thats the best way to go for a domain like yours.

I tried listing it in marketplaces, but I have no idea what to ask for. I did email a few companies when I searched for domain brokers, so I'll see what they say.

As a domain broker I can personaly say your domain is not going to be xx,xxx range You may get high x,xxx to the right buyer. My advice is put your domain on forums like namepros and sites like SEDO and TDNAM (dont expect much from here but its cheap to list)

sedo.com is the best place to seel domains.digitalforum.com is another excellent source to sell your domains

Are you serious? Am I seeing the right number of x's there? Because if I could get half of that I would be extremely grateful (obviously I have no clue how much domains sell for). I'm just not using it so anything it great for me.

Oh, and BTW, Sedo turned me down, as did several other places.

ya, you could always try eBay, as long as you are careful. Lots of sales go on there.

I have seen on the namepros you can sell the domain name. But be sure if someone interested in the domain name you will be contacted. No doubts

there are also a ton of webmaster forums that you could post your domains on for sale. Most let you list it for free.

as far as sedo goes, you would still need to promote it etc.

Allow me to counter-balance this discussion, with absolutely no insult intended.

Unless this is a niche that I am not aware of, I thought you would be lucky to get the reg fee out of that name. Any PR it has is a leech of your other site and will drop quickly when it no longer points to it.

And should you try to sell, post back here for some advice on how not to bend over.

I would try to sell on sedo but if you are getting good traffic it might be worth keeping it.

There's a long thread over on namepros abt how to find an end user to buy your domain - it looks like alot of work, but might be worth it if it works, because end users pay more on average than other domainers.
Ebay sometimes works, if you are getting no action thru sedo.
We've sold a few cheapies thru Afternic . com's Bazaar.

For getting good price better go to any web,master forums market place.. especially digitelpoint.. will get many bidding

Hit up all the marketplaces or see if you can auction it. I'm sure you'll find a buyer if you've got a decent amount of backing for your site. I've got a guide that you can look into. Its great for an overview, so have a look.

I believe that if the buyer in here you will find him with no problem. If people have no idea what to do with your domain name they will never buy it.
