So you judge the whole forum by ONE THREAD??????

Did you miss the 150 or so posts made today?? not counting the 30 or so that have been deleted for one reason or another AND this is a weekend, which is quiet anyway.

Pretty interesting article, but one point I would comment on, is the domain appraisal. Its not what it was earlier. Some high valued domains don't really sell to the expected price and vice versa.

Selling the domains with 3rd party handling the entire transaction, like escrow etc. is a pretty good option. And there are many other marketplaces like sitepoint etc. where domain selling and buying goes on very well.
Another great point said is about the spell error. The main company tries to buy the wrong-spelled domain name from you to pull in those type-in mistake traffic to their website.

I believe that is connected any domain name which is being sold. Appraisal that is est6imated price and there is no guarantee you will get the same money

Some traditional marketplaces are domainnews forums, SEDO and namepros. I know a lot of people trust them as sellers as buyers.

Nice tips. I starting my own domain sales case study today, trying to sell a couple of my generic domains, registered at the beginning of my short career as a hobby domainer.

that is not easy. You will need to do your best in marketing and do not forget all domain names you keep with you

Yep i understand its the estimated price and there is no guarantee. But the seriousness in the buyers and the appraisers have not been the same which was couple years back. Nowadays there is more difference seen in the appraisal and the actual sold price, so appraisals are of no use at all..

Namepros and SEDO are the traditional and the most used ones as always other forums have come and gone, but these both have been one of the trusted places, i agree

Would be helpful to list specific references as opposed to just saying post on a "domain selling website". As others have mentioned, namepros, dnforum, sedo, are some good places to start.
