I'm about to register a new domain name but would like some advice on doing so please. I decided to post a new thread so that I would get the most up-to-date information. I did search through older posts but didn't find an answer to my query.

Anyway, here goes...I am confused as to what might be my best option for my domain name. For example if I sold cycles what would be my best option? single, plural, branded?
cycle.com
cycles.com
cycleking.com

Sorry to be vague but I hope I'm clear enough. Thansk guys

If you are selling online product and if your key word is cycles than you can for the cycles.com it may help you to get fast search result in Google.

Plural? I personally do not recommend domain names that can be 'pluralize'.. Haha, sorry for the grammar..if you are into cycle..Just choose cycle.com. The shorter URL choosen, the better is is..

Well. I think that you need to chose the one you like the most and that would be main domain name. If you wish you can have another one as well and redirect it to another

cycles.com would be the most logical. This is an interesting question. I never thought of anything like this, as it seems quite obvious to me. If you have a niche and the name is all ready taken, you may also use underscore or dots between the word example: C_y_c_l_e_s etc. Most domain name venders give good suggestions, when registering a name.

It depends...

If you are selling cycles, then I think cycles sounds better then cycle..

But if you registar more then one domain, register single, and plural, make on redirect to the other one.

Choosing domain name is somewhat tricky part. Put the keyword in key word checker tool & find out which word is most targeted on the basis of this result you should choose domain name. This will help you on later stage at the time of site optimization.
