Can anyone give me some information about flipping domains. do you always need to develope them before you can sell them?

If the domain name looks like something on which we can develop a website then it can easily be sold. Suppose, you have ask4linuxsupport.com but do not have any website, then also, it has a tendency to have a website for linux support in future. Such domains can be sold easily. Otherwise, you need to develop a website on the domain, need to improve alexa traffic rank and google PR before you can sell it with a good amount.

I would think it would depend 1. the domain name and 2. on how much money you were trying to pull in. If you have a one or two word popular domain name and your not trying to spend too much time on development then putting up a site on it might not be needed. If the name isn't too catchy and you have some time to spend on it then twhdir is dead on about getting the rankings up then turning it over. Putting some advertisers on the site and proving income will also raise the sale price. Just depends on what your goal for selling the domain is, quick cash, or more money down the road

You do not need to develop a name to sell it. But development can help increase the value in a lot of domains and make them easier to sell.

You are right. Some domain name have some traffic and they are being sold on the hight rates without any developments.
I suppose you have domain name another. In any case you can ask for the apprasial for that domain name if you would like to.

If I could develp a domian well, I won't buy it in any case. I will just build my own site and promote that.

well yes ,you need to,because domain name only will not worth anything unless they are 5 years old,or with PR more than 4

Some domain names with 0 PR will cost a fortune even after its registration

IF the domain having some rank, or in the first page of SERP for a medium competitive keyword.. can get good price.. Also some are paying based on the domain ( parked). Our company payed 3k for a parked domain.. bcz its same as our company name...

keep a domain name like speculate in stocks,your domain name is valuable if you decide to keep it ,but it is hard to judge it .the value of some stocks cant be seen in short time,in some case,a simple domain name becomes populer in the future is possible if something happened.so you cant judge wheather your domain name is vaulable or to keep it .

Just can't get what kind of the domain names you are talking about. can you please give some examples of them to have better understanding?

You can sell a domain without building a site on it. But you need to do this in volumes if you want to make decent living with this strategy. Your better bet may be to build it up with some content and traffic and then flip it for better profits.

It may be worth your time to do this.
