I have read somewhere about someones domain earning $5000/month. The domain didn't seen too great(something diva.com). So is it possible for a domain to earn that much with adsence? Seems unreal.

Only domain making money? Or you are asking for a website making this amount of huge money?

I haven't heard this fact till yet, it might be rumor or i am not fully updated with this online industry?

What i meant was i read about a person saying that the domain they had was bringing them in about $5000/month revenue. The domain name didn't seem to good to me but who knows eh? maybe

The "domain name" doesn't make the money and if people believe that they do, there is no wonder there are so many mugs around waiting to be "ripped off" by paying stupid money for a $5 registration fee!!!!!

The CONTENT is what makes money from advertising revenue.

As for whether they're really making that much money, it's anybody's guess. I'd assume it'd have to be a pretty popular domain name (one of those that is bought and traded for millions, like business.com or something).

Wes site content is the king and I suppose everything depends on the niche of tyhe web site and your skills.
But the domain name can make good money for you once sold.
Bur that is one time income not month-to-month

If there's lots of traffic it's possible to make a considerable amount of money. I can't say this from personal experience but it's common sense.

Certainly possible, particularly if the domain exactly matches a highly searched word or phrase. Though in most cases it takes a good while - at least 6 months - of constant effort (adding good content, link building, etc) to generate a worthwhile income. Sometimes you can get lucky and achieve it quicker.

And obviously, it's simply the fortunate choice of domain name that works and makes it a potential earner!!!!!!!

This is very achievable with a parked domain. Which is basically just a website that permanently displays an ad with search results.

You will see this a lot when you do a Google search and you come upon a website with a whole bunch of links and a 404, that domain is parked and they do make money. People click the search results and can bring quarters on the click....

However, you won't achieve this with a lame duck domain name or low pr. If you purchased a site that was like 10 years old, and had a page rank of like 5 or 6... you could then park it and have a decent chance to make money.

A lot of people who park domain names do a lot of domain swapping though. Like, they go to godaddy and buy a whole ton of domains and park them all. Then they go to godaddy's sell domains area and sell their other domains that were parked. This is because a page rank won't last too terribly long on google. So it is a constant swapping of domains to try and keep up with good names and good pr.

Most of the people you see doing this, though, are going to have dozens, if not hundreds, of domains... If you have 120 parked domains that each bring in $20 a month from parking, your doing pretty good.

Domain can be sold or parked. I assume they are 2 ways you can earn with the domain name only.

Domain name point your site, you can not make money with domain but if you have good tricks and knowledge of online business then you can earn good amount of money by your site.

Some webmasters earn up to $20,000 in a month like digital point. I read once about his income.

It's not the domain but the content of the website of that domain. It's true and i know someone earning more than that

Sometimes you do, but it's a lot of work. You have to do a lot of advertisement. Good luck

domain namea won't help u to earn money ,what could help u is the website under that domain

Yep i think it could be.. You could earn $5k each month with domain which is has alot of useful contents in it.

Parked domains do not think dates back these revenues.
Domains with quality content are those who give money.
