Wait until it expires and hope the new registrant does the same as you did.

Have you got a few thousand dollars spare to start a ICANN dispute?
Look, you let it lapse, and somebody else grabbed it. simple as that!!

Not being rude, simply stating facts!
once a name is on the registration database as legal owner, the ONLY way to get it (back) is to demonstrate a "bad faith" registration or wait until it expires.

I retract what I said.
What is "bad faith" registration?
Ok. The website may have less than 10 views per month, and will go to zero when people find out my blog isn't there anymore. Do you think I may get a chance of getting it back when they found out it is not driving much traffic? I will email them and let you know how it goes.

A "bad faith registration" is one that is infringes on registered trade marks/names or may be used to confuse viewers into thinking they are on an site that is associated with another company/trading entity.

Contact the new owner and talk about that. I suppose that will not be easy to return it, but in any case good luck

These "above.com" jerks seem to be in the business of snatching up expired domains. You can make an offer to buy it. Have you tried and how did that go?
