If you wanted to start a niche forum site, what looks and sounds better? Or which is more common? Or which is preferred? Or which is more memorable?

For example, if your niche is hot glue, and you wanted to start a forum (and assuming all domains are available), which domain(s) would you choose?

hotgluetalk.com
hotglueforum.com
hotglueforums.com
hotglue-talk.com
hotglue-forum.com
hotglue-forums.com

Hopefully this answer would be the same if you were a hot glue enthusiast and you wanted to visit/revisit the site.

Thanks!

Assuming they were both available I'd probably pick up both hotglueforum.com and hotglueforums.com, throwing a redirect on the pluralised version to catch any stray type-in traffic

If hotglue.com was available it would be my first choice regardless of the site being a forum.

Thanks for the input. That sounds reasonable. I wasn't sure at what point people started using "talk" in the domain name. I suppose it would be for popular subjects, where "forum" and "forums" have already been taken.

Since "talk" has fewer letters than "forum", I wondered if that would make it more desirable, but it seems that "talk" isn't as descriptive as "forum", and a 1-2 letter difference isn't a big enough benefit to make it worthwhile.

The first one is the shortest and more memorable and with COM domain name extension
I suppose that is the one you need to go with

I'd choose either hotgluetalk.com or hotglueforum.com for the simple reason that its more memorable and appealing for me... Also, its I think user friendly, has fewer characters and SEO friendly as well.
