I am keen to find out how many domain names have been registered. Just out of personal interest.


Is there somewhere I can go, so I can get updated information, or can someone give me a guess as to how many .com domains currently exist?

An extensive list of how many domains are in all Generic TLDs, and ccTLDs would not hurt if I can also get a list of them

I believe only ICANN has this type of information. You can try looking at http://www.icann.org/

I do not register domain names just to register or in hopes that will be a kind of investigation. I register domain names as often and as many as I currently need.

hhmm... as we all know technology is now part of today's Human Race especially the world wide web (www/Internet) and, the famous Computers.

S source tells that there are 184 million total DOMAIN registrations. and the gTLDs account for 109.6 million registered domains and ccTLDs have a registration base of 74.4 million addresses.

See??? a hundred millions are have been registered but, there's still more.

Some registries publish this information... ie www.cira.ca lists right on their homepage how many dot-ca's are registered...

Webhosting.info lists the total number of domains here.
