i disagree that keywords in domain names do not affect ranking
And your reasons for that are??

It is better not to use dashes in your domain name.
This may mislead people to the site with the same address as yours but no dash.

I doubt that dashes have a significant effect on ranking.
I wouldn't get a dashed name when non-dashed is taken because you may end up losing customers to the other website as they type the wrong URL. I'd find a name that's free with and without dashes and get both if you are serious about your business.
Sometimes dashes can be good because they prevent reading the URL in the wrong way. Example:
psychotherapist.com can be read like "psycho the rapist . com" (I'm not affiliated with this website in any way)

Generally avoid using hyphens or dashes except where you can't get the one without it. Or if you just want so many domains to all point to your website.
I don't think dashes really affect your rankings. I've seen many times where someone with the main keywords in the domain separated with hyphens have actually beat out the site with the main keywords in it with a .com. The thing people were arguing about above where keywords in domains affect rankings, that's a though one. I've seen people with not a single keyword in their domain rank as well as someone with the exact keyword in their domain. Personally, when I don't have keywords in my domain, I don't rank as well.

I haven't seen any SEO expert yet which states that having keyword in the domain name can improve ranking.
This is empty thread guys.
