If you are looking for some short name subdomain provider like yourdomain.cc.rk (.rk <=tld, its just a example) dont go for it. I have seen several provider who started and after a year or two they close there free services and all your work is gone.
Now days domain name are not so expensive i am sure you can easily get one.
