Such exotic domain name extensions are not for everyone. For some of them you need to be a county representative to be able to register them.

yes but for example a site rank some thing like 1000 can't be with no visitors at all. It must be popular. though you may be right that it can be exaggerating if for example the website user himself is using alexa and opening the website very often.

It's probably fine if your target audience is newbie webmasters and "marketers" from Southern Asia and you take the "numbers" with more than a pinch of salt. As those two demographics are the majority of Alexa toolbar users.

alexa is an English website and owned by amazon if I'm correct. Shouldn't it normally have visitors mainly from USA and other English speaking countries? Why an English website will have majority of visitors from Southern Asia? I didn't notice that at all in alexa analytics.

No reason at all BUT that is NOT what I posted.

You meant the majority installing alexa toolbar are from Southern Asia right?
If majority of visitors to Alexa are from USA why the majority of alexa toolbar users will be from Southern Asia?

I don't get the correlation you are trying to draw.

I wouldn't assume that numbers make much if any difference.

They do. If you are telling someone about web site like cars4hire you need to draw an attention on the "4".
That is important for remembering them.

Nope, numbers usually decrease the value of the domains. I wouldn't use them.
