Redemption is a 30 day period where the original registrant may renew the registration to retain the domain name. After that it will become free for registration by anyone.

Updated is the last time a change was applied to the record, ie when it went into redemption.

Nope, NOT the registrar.

It is direct from ICANN EIGHT years ago.

Surely as an "Accredited registrar" you would know this!!!
