.co domains are now available, what do you think of these. there are some short keywords available, will they be worth a lot next year?

It wouldnt matter for SEO, a nice short word for a domain is more appealing than fujerjgbrjkbngrejgvbjg.com for instance

From my point of view, it makes most sence for companies with "and Co." in ther cooporate name.
eg. Tiffany and Co. could be Tiffany.co
Thats my oppinion.

I think that worth to have them as satellites for your existing domain names. Say you have domain name xxxxxxx.com and that would be nice to have xxxxxx.co

Yes short domain names will be much more easy to remember but in terms of SEO they are the same.

It will be good if you can get a short .co name. Else I don't think it will be able to get a new market.

Humans tend to "hear" what they expect to hear.
If you promote www.mynewoffer.co, you can expect quite a number of people to type www.mynewoffer.com into their browser.

They do not represent Colombia any more, or at least for 10 years. The .co will now stand for company, or at least this is what I've read. Or company AND Colombia the same. Weird though..

Nope.
http://www.iana.org/domains/root/db/
Just like:
.tv is NOT television
.ws is NOT website
.it is NOT information technology
.me is NOT Me
.com is for "commercial"
It is simply that some ccTLD management bodies lift any restrictions for their country code and license it to other registrars.

Top Level Domain
and there are gTLDs, which are Global, .net, .com, .org etc, and ccTLDs which are Country Code TLDs .cc, .uk. us, .jp etc etc.

oh! And then there are SPONSORED TLDs .mobi, .aero. .gov .museum etc. These are Global in scope but are privately funded/managed for specific organisations.

Barthelemy violets are blue . . . . . . . . . .(.bl)
The Bahamas are warm . . . . . . . . . . . . (.bs)

Shame google didn't take your advice, if they did they could be the biggest search engine in the world, then again how dumb can you get, trying to become a top search using a word that doesn't even mean anything, thank god for searchengine.com, what would we all do without it.....
