I have one website parked under two domains xxyy.com and abc.com with xxyy.com being the main domain and homestaysbritain being the parked one (basically re-directed). The web files are the same.

The question is will I get penalized for SEO for such a setup?

Thanks.

Not for the duplicate content no, but when you say re directed do you mean 301 or are you cloaking?

There will be no penalty just 301 redirect the domains.

If they are 2 different domain names (and they actually are) and there is NO redirect. I think one of them will be banned for content ripping.

I do not see any reason to keep 2 diffrent domain names with the same content.
I would install 301 redirect. That is better in your particular situation.

Sites don't get banned for "content ripping"

Probably a shame because it would mean that the crappy "article directories" would simply die.

Having duplicate content is not very good for SEO, you should use the second domain as an intro page for your main website.
