While GoDaddy is an approved ICANN domain registrar the .co domain has no affiliation with ICANN in the first place.

Also it seems like if you look at a registrar for information you might get some skewed info, as their priority is to sell domain names.

Anyways the .CO is the domain for Colombia. The Colombian government has decided to open it up. .CO Internet S.A.S is responsible for it, that is a Colombian corporation.

If you want to get information on something I recommend you look at the source, as I did.

I have .com domain, and it works pretty well. My blog is not of high pr, but may be the reason is that I don't update my blog so regularly, have not read anything about .co yet.

I suppose you know that no domain name extension neither domain name itself will not improve your SEO in any way...
