Canadian and US English is not that different...

.co domain is good, According to some popular sources, Google will treat .CO domain as international domain. Btw, i purchased a .co domain too. its called techblogger.co

I prefer .com domain names, although I heard that .co domains are good as .com domains.

But, .com domain names are more known, so that's why I prefer it.

Also, the best reason to choose a .co domain name is if your domain name for .com is already taken, you can purchase the .co domain,

.COM is the best choice really, Fairly priced and it's normally what people will put after thinking; "Oh what was that search engine, I remember the name - Yahoo I'll try Yahoo.com"

So all in all go with .com
