I am setting up a website, and got the perfect domain for it in mind.
Problem is that the domain is already registered by someone else.

The owner isn't a domain reseller of any sort. When I type in the link, it forwards to another website. And I noticed that the domain name, is also the last name of the people responsable for that website. So they are not really using it, they just have it because it's there last name.

Now I tried and contact them trough the WHOIS information. It is privacy protected to, so I got to e-mail to domainsbyproxy.com. Up till now I have not received any replies. I think the owner really never got a message of it.

So what can I do next?

try admin@whateverthedomainnameis also webmaster info and contact

That would be easiest, but not the best option.

This domain is a aaaaa.com, so it's short. Most , if not all 5 letter domains are taken. I am really looking for a short name, and if it is something I already find perfect, then why shouldn't and try and go get it.

the .com is though I do have chrishirst.co.uk

But all the hirst.tld have been registered for a long while now.

11 years of owning that domain and you have installed plesk, you realise at that rate you will be 573 years old before the first page is complete obviously you are not going to live that long.

Knight you seem to forget, up until the 1980's all they had to eat in Yorkshire was coal, and boy did they enjoy it, spent their days and nights digging it up, luckily in an effort to try and improve their lot Maggie closed down all the coal mines and gave them all dole money, slowly southerners started moving there and opening up shops and stuff, they would buy the bits of animals that weren't fit for human consumption and ship them up to Yorkshire and sell them to those dole scroungers, stuff like old gungy peas were mushed up and sold as mushy peas, blood from road kill was left to congeal and sold as black pudding, they had never had it so good.....
