If I Backorder An Expired Domain From Godaddy.com When Can I Get It?

I just found a domain name that is registered through Godaddy.com that expired last month that I really want. The domain is still in its grace period but if I'm correct that should end within 40 days of its expiration. If I backorder the domain name, does this guarantee I will be able to get it after the redemption period ends? Or will it first go to Godaddy.com's domain marketplace?

Somewhere between 70 and 80 days of the expired date assuming you are the only bidder.

I suppose that would be much better to follow that domain name there.

At one time they did not send it to the auction unless more than one person placed a back-order. I am not sure what the current rules are.

I think I'm just going to take your advice and see what happens. I just read that all backordered domain names go to auction.

Ok. But in any case you need to understand that you are not alone here. I suppose a lot of other people follow those domain names as well
