I think keywords in a domain url may help, I use them.
But if you choose long keywords with the result that the url gets longer than 35 characters - you are in trouble if you want to advertise with google adwords.

The fact that "Search Engine Optimization" is three words in itself makes it even funnier!

as for domain name doesn't effect you ranking or seo method.

A keyword in the domain name inherently forces good SEO methodologies on the site owner. I've never seen verifiable proof that domain names do anything directly.
