Hi plus many thanks for your time I need a little advice please.Last year I payed one.com for a domain transfer of the domain biz1business.com I paid them my domain renewel in August this year to my horror this evening I found that they have not bothered to renew it it apparently expired from my fasthosts.com control panel on the 11th of this month I host at one.com aswell and paid a year in advance.Although I'm waiting for a reply from one.com can somebody advise me of the rights I should have as a webmaster and what I should do.That particular site of mine like my others example inventioncorporate.com holds 52+ pieces of Intellectual Property I've invented myself.I spent the past year building and building it up with top organic SEO plus pretty amazing web design what a waste of my bl**dy time if it is lost.

No rights at all unless of course you have a written contract regarding renewal.

I suppose that it will be safe to reg domain via accredited Registrar cos there are some companies that can play disappear and your domain will be lost.

Provided the hostname is registered to YOU in YOUR NAME it can be released or renewed by ANY registrar if the original TAG holder has ceased trading.

Not a negative comment at all. simply a fact.

The "rankings" you see are NOT necessarily what other searchers see

Just call them and ask them the reason. And for those scam companies, my first reaction is writing several reviews about my bad experience then use seo methods deliever those reviews to hundreds of website review websites. And i acctually did it once before, and one of my reviews got about 7,000 visits in two months. Back to your situation, if they give the domain back to you, since it had been expired, so even if you got it back it will be a new site, and to be frank it's not a stylish and easy-remember one, but if you got big number of regular visits, you should reuse it.

I feel this website is a scam and I have lost many domain name's because of them. Start working with a respectable company such as namecheap or godaddy.

Although no domain registar is perfect, you might consider using one of the more popular or well known companies int the future. Once you renew for another year check your account and whois info to make sure it reflects another year. Try to initially pay for 2 years in advance when you first register a domain. Then, in 1 year renew for another 1 year minimum. That way you are always 1 year ahead and you have 1 year cushion to make sure the renewal went through without problems. Don't use some odd ball hosting company to register domains. They make things more difficult and complicated than it should be. Some people complain about the big domain registars, but you do have a bit more control when it comes to changing hosts.

I would say, always select a renowned company for domain registration as it is risk free and do not go for such legal scams.You must contact the existing registrar of your domain and provide them the transaction ID as proof but be careful in future

You'd better choose the Registrar that has nice reputation and offers attractive specials. There are quite a great number to choose from.

The sites scares me too. It looks like it came out of a Geocities bad dream.

this is the reason why i choose BIG company that has good reputable to host all my domain name. i fairly satisfied with godaddy.

Try to gather as many reviews about its services (both positive and negative) and serve these as basis in choosing Domain Registrars.

Your domain or webhosting is always as good as the company behind it.
Get you a reputable company. you will not hear this type of story with companies like Godaddy, Namecheap, or Enom.

A guy said it was resolved a month ago. He renewed a domain with the same registrar. I have never heard about this company & would never use it for my site but if it seems #1 for him - fine Time will show.
