Is GoDaddy good for domains?

Godaddy is horrible. They lie to their customers and I've heard many scare stories about them.

For example one story I heard was about a guy who was emailed by Godaddy to update his eMail on his Who.Is information. Apparently he never read the Email and Godaddy seized sold off his domain. The problem was that it was a valuable domain name.

In my own experience I've used Godaddy and was lied to. When all those websites we're being hacked mine was one. I called them up asking if anyone else was being hacked they told me no. When over 45000 were being hacked.

Godaddy lies don't ever trust them.

Wow, I've always had good luck with Godaddy and I also love Enom. The nice thing about Godaddy is that it's the only registrar I know of where you can call in and talk to a live person with questions. There will come a time when you will want to talk to a live person.

I've been using GoDaddy for a year and have had no problems. I wouldn't recommend their hosting though...

I've used GoDaddy extensively for a Client who had all of the domains hosted with them and a few SSL Certificates.

Here are some thoughts:

- Great Hold Music
Cons
- GoDaddy's Customer Service is horrible. I've never had a good experience with them and I'm actually a very patient Person.
- GoDaddy makes it extrememly diffucult to receive Extended Validation SSLs.
- On Hold times are very long. The last time I was on the phone with GoDaddy my call was over 1 hour long.

I have had several (two) domains with GoDaddy in the past (2003? Possibly 2004).
The service that was provided was not the best, and in result - today I use NameCheap and/or Moniker for my domain registrations.

I've had no problem with Go Daddy. I think most of the horror stories sound a little far fetched. And I think their customer service is great. You can try this promo code 27% off, it's good till Sunday. gdz138x But it might not work because 7.50 already sounds like a discount price. I wouldn't use them for hosting though.

I've been with GoDaddy for about 6 or 7 years now, and have probably had in the neighbourhood of 100 different domain names in that time...and not ONCE have I had a single problem with them. In fact, based on my experience with the user interface and control panel, as well as their customer service, I have absolutely ZERO complaints about their services.

Keep in mind I've never used them for anything other than domain name registration and management, but I would imagine based on their excellence in this area that they equally excel at all other services as well.

Compare to other hosts GoDaddy is more efficient in their prices and features also.

You may notice many of Domain Registrars and all of them are top of their quality.

Oh, i am afraid of GoDaddy since my website is for replica products, i can not use GoDaddy, besides, I think GoDaddy service team is not good, while you have some problem, it is hard to find someone to solve it for you.

Godaddy and namecheap both are good. you would want to search for a godaddy discount coupon that would reduce the price even further.

i host my domain all at godaddy.
the other day i saw they doing promo dot com only for $1.99 for new customer

I use GoDaddy for all my domains and I recommended it to my clients. They have great support too

Like any large company or corporation you will likely see people that will have positive and negative experience. It is impossible to please everyone when you are as big as godaddy. I have never had any issues with name registrations. However, their control panel is not the easiest in the world to figure out. They also try to sell you all kinds of other services during the checkout process. So much that it is sometimes difficult to know if you actually completed your order or not. But, they are popular and relatively cheap.

Godaddy is the largest domain registrar and relatively reliable comparing to many other providers. I used it with no problem.
