Actually ASP is a framework that had TWO languages, and is no longer being developed by Microsoft since the introduction of the .NET framework in 2002.

So if you were hoping that someone was going to offer you vast sums of money for it to build a ASP resource website, you are about fifteen YEARS too late.

Still many sites are developed in ASP and a lot of people learn it. Its still popular.

The max price you will worth it?

Websites are not developed IN ASP, they are developed in vbscript or jscript FOR the ASP framework.

I assume you mean:

(What is) "the maximum price you would pay for it"?

or

(What is) "the value you think it is worth"?

The answer being: registration fee.

By the way; Do you not stop to ask yourself "Why is this available if it is "valuable'"? Before you buy these names?

Thanks anyway, for you it may be useless, but for others may be its valuable. Value Depends in domaining.

It wasn't available, I bought it on godaddy auctions.

It would be interesting to know how many times in those 13 years it has been sold and resold. Did it ever belong to an actual site and if so what happened to that site?

Even if this is the case, those people will likely end up going to one of the hundreds of existing ASP or .NET related sites.

So then the question is who is it valuable to? As far as I can tell that would be:
1. Someone who thinks it has value and wants to try to sell it for a profit.
2. Someone who really wants to make an ASP related site even though, as Chris pointed out, it is a dated technology and there are probably multiple existing sites for every topic related to ASP. Even this site has an ASP/.NET forum.

I'm guessing that if you do sell it it will be to someone from #1 and your chances of making a significant profit are not as good as your chances of taking a significant loss. Over time, I'd say your chances of taking a loss are going to increase. ASP isn't getting any more popular.

It doesn't matter HOW it was available, it was, otherwise you would not be buy it.

Nope the "value" depends on someone prepared to pay the asking price.

chris is right about the ASP business. I won't repeat it as has been said already.

But, as for the sale of the domain - The best you can do is put it up on a domain sale site and see how many offers you get. From there you can just take the best offer if you are satisfied.

Sharing the healthy skepticism, I still think you may sell the domain with a good revenue, but the task is to find an interested user...What is Not too simple, I may tell.
