Say NO to subdomain-like domains!

Your statement makes no logical or common sense and is technically incorrect.
You do realise of course, that ALL "domain" names are actually subdomains, because the true domain in every hostname is the part after the final fullstop (period for the US) (dot in the common parlance).
So com, net, org, uk, jp etc. are the domains, hence the name top level DOMAIN.
freelancer, google, yahoo and so one are subdomains of the .com domain with www, ftp,
In the case of .co.uk, .co.jpm .gov.uk or the .co.cc and .co.cz are used to extend the .uk, .jp, .cc etc domains to be able to serve countries that need a lot of names. This is one of the reasons that registration of two and some three letter names is restricted.
Network Solutions run a com subdomain of the .uk domain that many large companies use.
Subnames and subs of subnames are simply ways of extending the DNS zones to serve more people or companies.
None of you seem to balk at the idea of using something.bloggger.com, something.hubpages.com or something.wordpress.com with or without the www so why should this one be any different?
