How cheap they are. In my country .com name is RMB 69 yuan.(It is about 10 dollars)

123-reg are the best.

I would like to recommend powerhoster to register a domain. $6.95 for .com and $1.99 for .info

If I am correct GoDaddy still offers .infoat .97USD each for 1yr regs.
Oh, and namechea is not very cheap.

Is this list not outdated? the post was for 6 month ago or so.

I have been using domains410 for years now. Once your established with them, you can request a signup code and register for 5.95 a year. Service is fantastic with them as well.

By the way, I was looking for a "Welcome section" on the forums and did not see one.. This is my first post.. But looks like a cool place.

Just use coupon codes if you want to register at a cheaper price. That's what I do! Just do a Google search for "coupon code" + the name of the company.

I use GoDaddy or NameCheap, and always register using coupon codes. It helps!

.coms are 6.99 including private registration. thats where i register my domains these days

registration process is a little slow though and takes a little time to finalize the registration.

There are good offerings for domain registrations at Ahosting.biz, despite of being a registrar is not their primary business, but maybe due to this this company provides cheap .com registration. Plus, As I know, they are ICANN accredited.

Eurodns.com + coupons bring good prices

You can reister a domain name for free with some hosting companies, buying their service. Such companies as MarbleHost.com, for instance, can offer lifetime registration of almost any domain extension. Take a look if you are interested in hosting as well.

Problem with these posts on domain prices is they go out of date quickly. I would suggest checking out http://www.domainnamepricer.com/ which compares prices for a large list registrars for many TLDs and usually kept pretty up to date.

Currently Netfirms and 1and1.com and GoDaddy (for .us) seem to have the best prices for the best known TLDs (Top-Level Domains -- ie. .com, .net, .org, .us, .info). But if your looking for private registration I believe 1and1 and Netfirms include it in the price.

I would recommend being cautious when using coupons or getting a domain based on a sale price as the cost of the domain can go up substantially on renewel -- and unless your on top of transfering you domains you may get burned.

Personally I use 1and1.com for most of my domain purchases as the have consistently cheap retail (not sale) prices. They also have free private registration.

For .co.uk domains I use Telivo.com and for .ca domains I use Netfirms

I've been with namecheap.com for years now. I've also had a few domains at various other registrars, but I keep coming back to namecheap. they always have coupon codes floating around and some interesting promo offers once in a while.
