Please help me! I am in a total panic as I think I may have seriously messed up and I need urgent advice.

I have been requested by a client to take control of their domain name portfolio and transfer their domains to a cheaper registrar.

I have changed the tags for their .uk domains and have initiated but not yet responded to transfer requests for the .coms, .nets etc.

The websites for the domains are not hosted with the current registrar and I can't see that any web or email forwarding has been set up in the control panel, but I happened to browse to one of the domains prior to transferring it and I discovered that there is a web site at this address. I have gone into a total blind panic now because I had assured the client that these domains weren't being used and so there would be no disruption and I could just transfer them over.

What will happen if I just transfer the domain to a new registrar? Will the site still be accessible or am I going to need to point the domain at a particular place? How can I find out where to point it at?

Please please please help me - I have a horrible fear for my job over this one.

Transferring a domain to a new registrar will have no effect on the websites they point to. It should all still work as long as the nameservers are not changed during the transfer.
