I saw a commercial earlier for GoDaddy.com (url: http://www.godaddy.com/tv) and they were offering $3.99 per domain registration. I was curious if any of you guys could find anything cheaper than that - and if you can, please post what it is. I need register another domain here soon, and I'd like to see where the cheapest/most reliable registrar is. Thanks in advance.
If you get hosting with GoDaddy you can get the domain for $1.99, otherwise it costs ~$9 for a top-level domain. Some hosting providers will give you the domain for free for as long as you use them for hosting.
Like The Critic said, the deal with GoDaddy is that their domains are $1.99 if you get something else (usually hosting). The domains themselves cost $8.99/year.
If you order a domain name, the big issue I have with them is their excessive upselling of their products and services (although I do get a fair amount of use from their stock photo CD). Just be careful when you do order, that's all.
