I'm a first timer but would be curious to know what members of the forum think about ifididit.com.

Fox is going to burn the phrase "if I did it" into the minds of as many Americans as it can during the November sweeps and the subsequent book launch as well as the controversy surrounding OJ simpson will help keep the phrase alive.

I purchased the domain on Oct 19th so it predates the copyright date of the book and as my original intention was to develop a parody blog so I believe that I am in the clear as far as legal issues go.

I had no idea about the Fox tv special though, and now that the publicity for that is growing, the domain may serve me better if I sell it.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Really, I guess I don't understand how you arrive at a value of zero. Fox tv is going to have millions of dollars worth of promotional advertising for a two part TV special called "If I did it, here's how it happened" that will air in two parts in prime time over sweeps week. After that Regan books will release a well publicised book entitled "If I did it, here's how it happened." Both of these ventures are already the subject of significant secondary news coverage due to the controversy surrounding O.J.'s "confession." Many people are probably going to just type "If I did it" into google.

And in spite of all this you think that the domain ifididit.com is actually worth LESS than the $16 I paid for it?

It would make a great spoof site. The value is low... $XX. If you develop it it will be worth more.

There are actually more searches for the phrase OJSimpson ....a few hundred a day on Overture.

I don't think that you'll get much it's just a fad right most of the ppl in USA can't stand him....by next week everyone all forget about him again

i have to agree on this one...estimated value as an undeveloped site would be in the mid XX due to the catchy name and it's relevance only.
keywords value is virtualy not worth mentioning.

if you get a more complete concept going and some contant and post a for sale sign...you might prove me wrong.
